Director/Writer/Producer  

Carl Rashad Jaeger is a San Francisco based director at Artemis Film. He rides his bike around the city and countryside of the Bay Area believing that this brings him closer to the world about which he loves to tell stories. Every time he rides, he gets to ponder the images, characters and stories all around him. 

Prior to “We”, Carl has worked mostly in television, on shows such as “Great Outdoors”,” Rachael Ray”, “MoneyTrack” “The Jane Pauley Show” and many others. He has directed TV commercials and videos for California Family Fitness, The Robert Mondavi Winery, The Hispanic Scholarship Fund, McKesson, Ravenswood Wines, Gnarly Head, Merryvale,  Tri Counties Bank and more. Carl is originally from West Milford, New Jersey where he rode his bicycle to deliver newspapers to save money for college. And sometimes he bought those little Hostess fruit pies at the country store he would pass on his paper route. That is a story for another time.

He makes his home in San Francisco with his two children Juliana and Jason. 

 

Director of Photography / Editor 

As a teenager, Gary Schillinger cut his teeth filming local events, sports, and concerts, eventually producing a weekly television show which enjoyed diverse cable viewership in Colorado.  After taking time off to be a guitar player, he began producing the San Francisco Hip Hop Dancefest DVD and filmed for “Xingolati : The Groove Cruise of the Pacific”.  He iscurrently the Produciton Manager for Artemis Film.

 

First Assistant Camera

Martín Rossetti grew up in the film world by watching and eventually working for his parent’s production company; producing educational and documentary films. He got his first big break with a grant from SFSU to direct and produce his first documentary, “A Moral Debt,” which was viewed on PBS as well as many film festivals around the world. Just fresh out of college, he already has a bountiful amount of experience and skills under his belt including music videos, television, and feature films. On his free time he likes to blaze the concrete jungle on his vintage peugeot road bike, go adventure hunting with his girlfriend Apple and their dog, Luna(tic), or simply immerse himself in all the cultures the world has to offer. 

 

Lighting Consultant/Photographer

 

Robert Baker is a Bay Area native and a father of 4. He was practically born with a camera in his hand. He learned the ways of the darkroom when he was 8 years old and has had a passion for photography ever since. In Jr. High School, he worked 2 adjacent paper routes and saved all of his money to buy a Super 8 Movie Camera and Projector. 

As a Professional Photographer for 15 years and a Director of Photography for 10 years, Robert has experienced and enjoyed many adventures from Berkeley, California to Baghdad, Iraq. He has a discerning eye, acute timing, and an innate sense of composition. He is a people person and a has a natural instinct to capture the moment that tells the story. His professionalism and creativity thrive whether in a studio, on location, or at an event. 

 

Sound 

Eva Moss has been involved in filmmaking since graduating from Smith College in 2003. She has worked as an editor, producer, and sound person on many films whose topics range from alleviating water shortages in Kenya and Mali, Aboriginal artists and the intersection of storytelling and painting, the transition of a transsexual woman as seen through the eyes of her 3 young nieces, a family working to understand their child’s learning disabilities, a sequel to The Celluloid Closet, a gay couple’s experience trying to conceive a child through insemination, Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and those working to overturn it, four girls of color going through puberty and all it entails, a kaliedoscopic music video, and the first documentary made by gay filmmakers depicting gay people. She uses filmmaking as a means to promote social change and introspection and works to facilitate the telling of others’ stories, giving voice to those without a voice and sharing with the world that which is rarely seen.

 

Script Supervisor

Olvia Angulo loves to read, travel and write. Olvia is also huge fan of independent films. On her spare time, she enjoys photographing strangers, researching random things and surfing in the rain.
